One of the best games for the Xbox 360! February 3, 2008 Lost Planet is great in terms of gameplay as well as visuals. Battling alien life forms in this game reminds me of "Starship Troopers" but even better. This game is full of sci-fi action.
Get it and see what the Xbox 360 can do with its raw processing power with regard to visuals, sound effects, and gameplay.
Good, but not Great January 22, 2008 So, if you are looking for a great shooter, with amazing graphics and a good online setup... There are much better games out there. This game, while fun and interesting, just does not give you much of an exciting feeling. the monsters are pretty cool looking, and it does present a challenging game to defeat, but it is just not that great game you are looking for I'm sure. Now the graphics are amazing, especially since this was one of the earlier games for the 360. I, at most, would recommend renting the game. but if you insist on buying it, I'm sure you'll make it at least one time through
A stupid idea gone south January 16, 2008 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
I have played this game for about 4 hours and have made it into the second level. It's boring!! Why in the hell would you fight the boss fight at the end of level 1 and then take it right up again on the next level, with two of the same bosses instead of one??. WTF??? It is too dumb beyond belief. The story line is like some crappy saturday filler cartoons for mongoloid children. Spare me, please, and don't get this game. I was so jacked for it and then after playing it felt like I'd been taken for a ride.....over the rainbow of stupidity to land in the nation of bland, repetitive god-awful ideas allowed to see the light of day. Capcom needs to find another outlet. Obviously, this remorseful effort deserved to be murdered at birth.
EXCELLENT 9.25 OUT OF 10 November 22, 2007 Lost Planet delivers fast-paced gameplay that definitely makes shooter fans happy. The shooter controls work excellent as the should for an Xbox 360 title, the graphics are amazing, the alien designs are cool, and it's definitely challenging. Some flaws are noticeable however, such as the storyline(Evil corporation called Nevec, The Frontier Project, and oh no! It turns out main protagonist Wayne was frozen in ice for 30 years! Gasp!), and you have to pick up the red glowing orbs for your survival and since your life force through these orbs can wear off and you'll freeze to death. These problems are fairly minor however when you are in the fast shooter gameplay which keeps you intrigued. Oh, and by the way Sony fans this game has been announced for Playstation 3 for 2008, so quit whining about Devil May Cry 4 going multiplatform, you stole an exclusive from Xbox 360.
love this game October 20, 2007 i got 3 words. amazing. amazing. amazing. i like the online multiplayer better than the single player. at the same time it is not a violence game like gears of war.
