 Great but not essential September 2, 2008
The extra guitar is a great option if you don't want to leave one of your friends without play while you and 2 other buddies are playing/singing. The bass player is not the thrill of the game, specially since the songs that are available are not that great for bass playing.
Overall I would recommend if you have the extra cash. But I would have saved the cash for another game....

I bought this guitar as a birthday present, I was upset when i was told it doesn't fully work. I contacted Amazon and they responded quickly telling me they can send out a new one within 2 days all I needed to do was send back the broken one. I got the new guitar and it worked perfectly. Amazon did a quick and easy exchange and I was happy, Thank you Amazon.

not much to say about the guitar. exact same as the one that comes with the game. so you either are replacing one or getting a second one. works perfectly fine. some of my friends say they like the guitar hero guitar better. but i like the rockband guitar better. there is room for improvement. but solid guitar anyway

Works well. The original controller in the Rockband bundle did not have good action and did not connect well with the PS3. Tried again when this came out. Same guitar but it works much better.

This game is extremely fun and will make time fly by. I hated the guitar at first, but I'm getting used to it and it's not as bad anymore. The only trouble I really have with it is activating the "star power" or overdrive or whatever it is. I hate having to hit select whenever I want to activate because it breaks my concentration on the song.
