At first playing a Star Wars game made me feel very nerdy, but let me tell you if this is what nerdy is then it rocks!!!!! This game is incredible!!! It is very, very fun basically you choose what side you want and destroy the other what with gaining the several checkpoints that are throughout it. Buy this game and put your blasters on full.

There is no denying that Star Wars Battlefront is one of the best video game series that is currently available. The first game was really amazing, let us participate in some of the places seen in all six movies. But, even though the game was really fun, it felt like there was something still missing. The missing piece was put in and this is the result. This is not a disappoinment, but the best!
Unlike the first game when the main story gameplay was just caputring bases and killing all of the enemy forces, here, there are actually missions to complete. From having to retrieve data-discs, to killing rebel leaders, this game is more indepth than it's predecessor. In game, there are still times when bases have to be captured, like in the first game, but you no longer have to kill all of the enemies. The coolest part of the game is that you get to ride in different ships and other things from the movies. Lots of fun!!
So, overall, this game really is an improvement over the first but some may prefer the first more. The reason being that the first game is basically kill everyone and take their bases, and that is less seen here with the focus is more on protecting things and stealing things.

This is hands down the best star wars game i have played or seen. Just the fact that you can use almost every hero and villian in the star wars movies makes this a blast to play. The addition of the space combat is what really tips the scales on this title. When you're flying through waves of tie fighters and you land on an Imperial star destroyer and begin fighting through control rooms, you begin to realize this game is really special.

There are many levels to choose from, like the former Battlefront game. So when you finally beat the game and unlock all the locations, and want to go back to play, you have a lot to choose from. Like Jabba's Palace or Mos Eisley... Hoth. etc. But one problem I noticed about these locations, is that they sometimes hardly differ from one another. I would have liked locations that were extremely unique from other locations.
I'm not a huge fan of X-Box but it is the only console for which I have played this game. My main nit-pick is with the controls of the X-Box... I just can't get used to them, and maybe that is why sometimes I am very frustrated when it comes to running/jumping & aiming/firing. That is why I'm thinking about just sticking with PS2 from now on.
Yes, there are special characters to unlock; but I personally feel that the characters such as Darth Vader, Yoda, and Luke Skywalker could have had more life in them... they die way too easily.

I'm not so convinced that BattleFront2 is a great improvement over the first BattleFront. The space battles are supposed to be great and fun, but I actually found space to be boring, nonsensical, and uneventful. And there seem to be more restrictions set on the player. . . and that is hardly ever an improvement.

Greatest Star Wars Game Ever. Period. I got this game the day it came out, and I still can't stop playing it. This game has everything that the original one didn't. The new levels are awesome, and the heroes are great. Oh, and it helps that the heroes aren't immortal anymore like in Battlefront 1. Unfortunately, some of the best levels from 1 are missing in 2, such as Bespin and Tatooine. But if you have xbox live, you can get them + 2 heroes for just 4.99. A MUST HAVE FOR ALL STAR WARS FANS AND GAMERS ALIKE!!!
