5 out of 5 stars Great deal for the price   February 20, 2008
If you have an Xbox 360 and a medium size room, this is a great deal. The integration w/ Xbox is convenient, often I can controller everything w/ just the (admittedly huge) Pioneer remote. There are four inputs: Xbox 360, a couple more digital inputs (one coax and one optical), and an analog input. It even comes w/ a radio tuner. The sound is perfect for our 13'x15' room.

W/ shipping it was about $150... well worth it!

5 out of 5 stars HTS-GS1 - great for the $$   February 16, 2008
The HTS-GS1 is a great value for 5.1 Home Theater System. With Dolby Digital and DTS pass through, it can handle most audio formats for enjoying movies and video games. I am using the HTS for my family room setup connecting my cable converter box and PS3 using the optical connections.

Everything works fine on initial setup. Be sure to use the MCACC upon initial setup to calibrate the speakers to the room environment.

The cool feature about this HTS is the control panel is small in profile as the rest of the receiver components are integrated into the subwoofer. I did not mind the white color on the control panel as it sits next to my Wii. Otherwise, it may look out of place.

Overall, it is a good little system for $120. Get it while supplies last. [...]

5 out of 5 stars AWESOME! AWESOME! AWESOME!   January 27, 2008
This is an awesome product guys, and an even better seller! Great product, fast shipping, and very cheap for everything you get plus the performance of the unit! I have my XBox 360 hooked up in HD plus the Digital Audio jacks in the unit, plus I have my HD TV hooked up with the Digital Audio and they both sound amazing! I have had three different Surround Sound units and this blows all of them out of the water!

Thanks guys, we will be doing business again! REAL SOON!

4 out of 5 stars Very Satisfied Buyer   January 18, 2008
I bought this surround sound system for my son as an Xmas gift. He had told me previously that he would like a good sound system for his X Box, but that it was difficult to find anything designed for it under several hundred dollars. He and I hooked everything up easily, and he is very pleased with the results. The speakers are small enough to make them inconspicuous when mounted on small corner shelves up on each wall, which is what we did. The self-calibration function is a nice feature, such that the sound is adjusted for the location of the speakers. Overall, he's very pleased with th sound quality. Based on everything else (which wasn't much) that we could find, this was a great value, even considering the high shipping costs (due to the weight).

5 out of 5 stars High quality for a good price.   January 5, 2008
After doing a bit of research, this home theater system was a standout choice. With its comparably low price, I was skeptical of its quality. But after reading reviews here and elsewhere, I decided to order it.

As I pulled everything out of the box I noticed how solid all of the equipment felt, as well as the not too shabby finish. The instructions were straight-forward and I was ready to go in about 30 minutes. I have to agree with other reviews that the wires a bit of a pain, partly because I was concealing them. But for this price, it really wasn't an issue.

Sound is surprisingly good for the size of the speakers. I used to have an Aiwa w/ virtual surround that had 12" speakers, and the Pioneer's 4" match the sound of those and then some. The receiver/subwoofer combination is unusual, but works as it allows all to be hidden except the separate "head-unit" plate. Auto-calibration left nothing to be desired in terms of speaker levels. However, I did have to some tweaking to get games to sound right- nothing too difficult.

I would recommend this to anyone looking for a home theater in a box (HTIB) unit. Easy set-up, not just restricted to Xbox use, and it's price make it a great choice for those wanting to get a foot in the door of high quality entertainment.

Pioneer definitely came through with this system.
