Too bad Nintendo is no longer making games for the Gamecube forcing everyone to buy the Wii. These games are every bit as entertaining.
GREAT 2 player game December 4, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Just to introduce myself my name is Joshua and I am 10 years old. My 8 year old brother Joel got this game for CHRISTmas. I didn't play it for a while, but then I decided it couldn't hurt so I gave it a try. Boy was I suprised! I said to myself WOW! I couldn't believe how much fun it was! Then I found myself playing it instead of my alltime favorite Mario Sunshine! Then I was amazed yet again, when my friend was over and I decided to play it with him it was SOOOOOOOOOOO fun! It was fun strategizing. He would cover while I would grab studs(the currency) and we would sometimes fight back to back when enemies came at both sides. Now I sometimes play it with my brother Joel. We both love it! Especially the advantage of just plugging in the controler and pressing start and your in, instead of turning of the system plugging in the controler and turning on the system again. MODES Well, there is the story which means you have the characters that were there in the movie and after you have completed a certain mission on story mode you can go on freeplay mode which allows you to use unlocked characters from other missions or use characters you have purchased with studs from missions. HINT Try using high jumping characters and characters equipped with guns in missions without one of them in the story mode.
These are my grades of the game from 1 to 10: Graphics=10 Fun=10 Multiplayer Fun=10 Sense Of Adventure=8.5 Overall=10
A great game all around! October 4, 2007 I've heard Lego Star Wars described as a game for kids...well, I'm not a kid, and I enjoyed this game A LOT!!!
And there's a lot to enjoy in this game - it has you coming back again and again to explore each aspect of each different level.
HOWEVER, if you're looking to buy Lego Star Wars, I recommend you wait for Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga, which will combine the plot & features of Lego Star Wars I & II...it won't be released for Gamecube, though, so if you're looking for a great Gamecube game, this is a must-buy!
Play Lego Star Wars before Lego Star Wars II September 16, 2007 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Lego Star Wars is a fun game, though a bit short. Its main weakness to me is that I played Lego Star Wars II first. LSW2 is far better than the first; the developers clearly learned and improved on all the strengths and also removed the weakest aspects.
If you've played LSW2 already, you might pass on this one. But if not, start here. And when you've finished it, definitely get the sequel.
Excellent game September 14, 2007 It is a game you can play with your kids, its a lot of fun and it really tells the Star Wars story.
