5 out of 5 stars Greastest Action Game...   December 13, 2007
....ever released for the original x-box. Greatest Action game I have ever beaten.. Backwards Compatible as well so it will work on your 360. Tells a great story and the gameplay is unbelievably amazing. You will get completely lost in this story and the ending with screw up your mind!! BE WARNED!! Not for the feint of stomach or aggrivated gamer who quits after a difficult game. THIS GAME IS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT, but well worth every hour & every cent!

5 out of 5 stars Finally   December 10, 2007
Weirdly. I just now got around to playing this. It's probably the first game to challenge me and make me want to throw my controller against the wall in years. As a matter of fact. The last game that did that was Burgertime. And I was 7 years old.

Graphics. Sick

Controls. Are simply amazing. Not one glitch. It's all up to my timing and forethought.

Music. Is great for the game. And the game is already amazing. Even though it's pretty much ninja techno.

Difficulty. Well I've beaten on all the modes but one. And that one is currently making me curse my xbox. Master Mode is very very very hard.

5 out of 5 stars AWESOME, BUT FLAWED 8.75 OUT OF 10   December 3, 2007
Ninja Gaiden is one of the few games that makes you feel like a ninja, because of how well executed and slick the combat and graphics are. All of the missions and bosses are challenging, and they will slaughter and punish you because the game is just so freaking hard. The camera is flawed too, unfortunately. For example, you will notice how protagonist Ryu Hayabusa is a long distance away from the camera, which makes the combat difficult. And you will get lost a lot and have to find items and look at your map constantly. But, as anyone who likes this game will tell you these problems just lift away. If you're looking for a Ninja Gaiden that is not as punishing as this, go buy the awesome-looking Ninja Gaiden Sigma for Playstation 3, or wait until the Xbox 360-exclusive Ninja Gaiden II comes out in 2008.

Ahh...ninja gaiden. I remeber the first time I played this game and died hundreds of times. Even the first level was trying.. I knew I was in for a hard deal. Yet I continued to try and die and try and die. I made it to Alma (probably the hardest boss ut not even half way through the game). Died I don't know how many times and FINALLY beat her. Then I fought the Vigorian Empire soldiers and gave up, traded it for halo two.

Then I heard of the release of Ninja Gaiden Black. I was inspired bu its release to dance woth the devil again. I persevered and beat it on normal ( which is like a cakewalk now). After that I felt unsatisfied and continued on hard, which wasn't much harder. Then I tested myself on Very hard which was hard AS HELL!(remember you can only progress to the next difficulty after you beat the prior). Then lo and behold I accoplished a feat that even only one of the game developers accomplished: I defeated the Master Ninja Level in 20 hours! It took me like 35-40 hours to beat it on normal. My point is that this game is about perseverance and progression. You must be patient. The sheer amount of work tean ninja put into the game is worth the try.. the graphics, the motion capture the gameplay, the depth and amount of moves you can pull off are all something to be studied by other developers. At 20 bucks this is an absolute steal. I look forward to the ps3 release.

4 out of 5 stars Ninja Gaiden black review   May 13, 2007
This game is fun, although it is one of the hardest games i have ever seen. It takes a while to master, although once you do its worth it. The controls are fluent and the graphics are decent. The game is also quite long, making it worth the money. Unfortunately there is no multiplayer.
